Bred by Bob and Pat Radmacher's Valhaven Farms, the bay stallion FAME VF+ was the top siring son of BEY SHAH+, who in turn was the Arabian breed's leading living sire of halter champions. FAME's show career was headed by the relative newcomer Dick Adams, who helped the stallion make a name for himself on the West Coast Arabian show circuit. FAME VF+ was best known not just for his legendary beauty, but also for his gentleness and profound charisma.
It has been said that FAME VF, more than any of his sire's other get, sold more breedings to BEY SHAH+ than did any individual person. He was called "the heir apparent" to the BEY SHAH+ monarchy, and had he not died in his youth it might have been so.
