Canter Magazine is the first equestrian publication devoted entirely to the history, culture, art, and literature of the equestrian lifestyle.

There are more than 7 million people in the United States involved in equestrian activities, but only half of those regularly participate in shows. Why limit yourself to advertising in magazines that appeal primarily to show people? Chances are, you also have potential customers who are "backyard" horse owners—they would rather spend their money on art, travel, and books than on ring fees. Some of them are long time horse owners who have "been there, done that," and don't need to know the how-tos of horse ownership.

Canter Magazine appeals to everyone who loves horses, not just those who show or are looking for basic advice on riding and training.

Targeted distribution

Canter Magazine launched its premiere issue in the summer of 2002. Marketing thus far has been via the Internet, direct mail, and in retail outlets. Primary target areas are California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, New Jersey, and other areas within the United States where there are large populations of horse owners.
