Canter Magazine is on a publishing hiatus.
Why? A sluggish economy, slower-than-predicted subscription sales, and the rising cost of printing and postage have made this a tough business environment for any new independently published magazine. Based on these factors, Canter has decided to temporarily suspend publication until 2009. This period of hiatus will give us time to reorganize our business, and to focus on more economically sustainable projects.
What can you do to help?
In the coming months, Canter Magazine will benefit from the support of subscribers and individuals who share our vision—that a magazine dedicated to the horse's place in the history and culture of our world fills an important void in the equestrian community and the publishing industry.
We will continue to sell back issues on our website. You can help support us by purchasing back issues, or by signing up to receive "Horse Books Monthly," our free ezine designed to keep you informed about the latest equestrian books.
| You can also help support us by making a donation with your PayPal account (your donation will appear on your credit card statement as a charge to Palfrey Media, Canter Magazine's parent company). Any amount is welcome, and persons who donate $40 or more can optionally choose to receive free advertising on our sister website, EquinePost.com. Please contact us for more information, or click the button to the right to make your donation. |
